Product Description

Insulgard’s bullet resistant SLV vertical slider can be constructed from materials designed to help combat ballistic assaults from Level1, 2 or 3 handguns per UL752 Ballistics Standards. The manual lift sliding panel can be opened to allow the passage of packages, contact with customers, and better voice transmission during periods of low threat. If a threat is detected, the vertical panel can be closed and locked. In the locked position the full vision panel still allows for voice transmission and currency exchange.

Construction

The SLV vertical slider consists of fixed and sliding transparent bullet resistant panels to secure an opening, along with the aluminum framework, hardware, and fasteners needed for installation. Manual and automatic locking options are available.

Glazing

Glazing materials can be rated for Threat Level 1, 2 or 3 per UL752 Ballistics Standards.

  • Level 1: 1¼” Acrylic
  • Level 2: 13⁄8″ Acrylic
  • Level 3: 1¼” Lexgard® SP1250

Finishes

  • Clear anodized
  • Dark bronze anodized
  • Painted aluminum

Frame

  • Aluminum jambs house a steel counter balance for ease of operation. For larger units, jamb size: 3″ x 9″
  • Aluminum head houses a clock spring type overhead counterbalance system. For smaller units, jamb size: 2½” x 4½”
